Details
- Kayaking- guided trips in rivers, lakes, or even the ocean can be challenging both mentally and physically. Learn interpretive information and safety protocols, the equipment uses, and techniques for being on the water. Explore places in various local waterways.
- Rafting-guided group trips down the beautiful Smith River, trips depend on water levels.
- Mountain Biking-guided trips on appropriately designated trails. Equipment not provided.
- Camping 101-learn how to set up a tent, make a fire, what to pack for different camping styles, and all other camping-related preparation.
- Paddleboard-learning how to stand-up paddling (SUP) on various waterways (possible equipment provided upon request).
- Canoe paddling-learn how to paddle in a traditional redwood dugout canoe.
- Row a boat-learn how to use oars and how to be safe on the water.
- Archery-beginner and moderate levels and techniques of using a traditional bow and arrows for target archery.
- Fly fishing and tying flies-learn various techniques and styles of making flies for fishing. This activity has a limited number (3-4) of participants and must be 8 years or older.
- Sport camps–find a camp for the sport your student is interested in to keep them busy and physically healthy. Please specify a specific camp or sport:
